ABSENTEE VOTING IN VIRGINIA

There are many reasons why a voter in Virginia is allowed to vote by absentee ballot. If you are eligible or believe you may need to vote absentee in this November's election, you can fill out and submit an application for an absentee ballot.

The Code of Virginia authorizes the following registered voters to vote by absentee ballot in any election in which they are qualified to vote:

You can either return the completed application to your local voter registration office either by mail or fax. The absentee ballot application must be received in your local voter registration office by 5:oo PM eastern standard time on the Tuesday prior before the election day in which the applicant offers to vote.
